PROJECT Z

MODPACK by black rabbit
A set of balanced server-side mods. New game mechanics and events.
version 1.1
(01) ABOUT
I want to create a set of server-side mods that will allow players to have a significantly greater gaming experience. At the same time, all these mods do not change the basic game mechanics, but expand them.
All mods of the project will be regularly improved and supported. When the next version of the game is released, I plan to carefully check them for functionality.
Over the years, I have played more than 10,000 hours in the game, so I understand all the main mechanics, as well as the pros and cons of the game in general. At the same time, one of the goals of the project is to create a more comfortable atmosphere for playing on servers, and interaction between players.
The development of the project depends entirely on your support. In case of interest from the community, I plan to devote 100% of my time to this project and create truly unique content.
radiation and vulnerabilities
Unique mechanics of radiation and resistance to it, as well as mechanics of vulnerabilities in various biomes
Over the many years of playing on various servers, I have come across many different mechanics for adding radiation to the game. However, almost everyone had one big problem - as soon as the player created a set of modifications with protection, he could simply forget about the mechanics. The radiation simply had no effect on the player. In addition, most of the mechanics had a very primitive implementation - it just accumulates and kills. And lastly, almost no one has integrated this mechanic with other server mods or vanilla game balance.
armor balance
Full balance of all armor sets and addition of additional buff from armor class
After the release of the experimental version, I, as a player, had many questions about the current armor balance. Therefore, I am pleased to present to you a reworked armor balance with an additional bonus from the armor class.
ELITE ZOMBIE
New tier 4 zombie type that will not let you get bored in the later stages of the game. Smooth and balanced addition as the player develops.
I was always confused by the fact that in the later stages of the game (100+ levels) it becomes too easy and boring to kill current zombies. In my opinion, the addition of the next most difficult level for zombies has long been suggested. And here it is!
(02) MODS
Mastery skills
New tier 4 zombie type that will not let you get bored in the later stages of the game. Smooth and balanced addition as the player develops.
A little background. There are only 3 weapon tiers available in the game. in this case, the player gains access to the very last one at level 80-100. What to do next?

In my opinion, a very promising mod. The first test version has been implemented so far, but there is already something to shoot with and something to craft. I tried not to overinflate the characteristics of advanced weapons - and in my opinion it worked.
New backpack and
info panel
The new backpack allows the player to carry up to 60 items. But to make everything look neat, the information panel had to be reworked - and it turned out cool.
Considering the variety of loot that the player collects, in my opinion, the current size of the inventory needs to be increased. I tried many mods that allow this, and came to the conclusion that the optimal size is 60 slots. Almost all mods I know increase by reducing the icons of 1 slot, which in my opinion looks bad.
And much more...
Mod. Universal parts
Allows all weapons, tools and armor to be disassembled
into a new resource "universal parts". When skills are unlocked, the player can create the parts he needs for crafting
Allows the player to craft improved ammo from regular ammo for the difference in recipe cost
Increases stack size for all major resources in the game
Mod. Crafting improved ammunition
A number of small changes aimed at optimizing the overall game balance
Mod. Increased stacks
Mod. Game balance

(05) ROADMAP
BOSSES AND MINIBOSSES
01
Adding unique enhanced zombies with different mechanics for killing them. One of my first goals. This will allow for a significant increase in variability for the player in the late stages of the game. And will also allow for the development of challenge chains.
RARE AND UNIQUE ITEMS
02
Currently, new tools, unique modifications and melee weapons are planned to be added. All this will significantly expand the variability of the players' gameplay.
03
CHARACTER SKILL SYSTEM
I want to increase the value of skill points for a character. Now, at the late stages of the game, the player distributes points not according to need - but just to spend them. I plan to introduce a new, balanced branch of additional skills and slightly change the cost of the current branches. Goal: The player thinks through his build until the last level and all points will be spent on the perks he needs.
You can always influence the project roadmap. Suggest, discuss and vote - the most popular mechanics will be added first
04
New Player Challenge System
The current player challenges look pretty primitive and not very useful. I plan to completely rework this part of the game and make new interesting challenges that will allow players to expand the pool of their activities.
05
New quest chains
In my opinion, one of the most difficult, but at the same time most interesting components of the game. There are several ideas on how to diversify the activities of players both in solo play and in co-op.
(05) DONATE
the development of the project depends entirely on your support. I hope that the gaming experience that you will get from using my mods is worth MONEY. I really hope for your donations, and I am ready to spend all my time to create truly unique content.
Developing new mods requires a huge amount of time and effort. I don't see any point in doing this in my free time, as the release of new mods can take weeks or even months.
Now I am ready to spend all my time on it. Many mechanics are complex in their implementation, and in the process of development I have to learn a lot of new things. But all this motivates me to create more complex and interesting mods.
Currently I have set up the Boosty service to receive your donations. I will try to add more services soon.
